My Extra-curricular Activities
Sports

I play sports to keep my body and mind healthy. I have played every type of sport since I was able to walk. I like new challanges and meeting new people who are like minded.
I still play for the same local Camoige club I started playing for when I was 7 Years old. I fell in love with the sport, the adrenalin and the sense of belonging to a team.

During Covid 19 I continued my journey onto the Kildare Camogie team.
While times had changed dramatically, the drive for a health mindset through the sports world remained. I played corner forward for the Kildare Team in 2019 against Laois and Derry.
Charity Work
Irish Cancer Socity

During my final year in school, myself and another member on my basketball team decided to organise a charity basketball tournament to raise funds for the Irish cancer society. We also went around selling daffodils during our Lunch break as well as organising non-uniform days to raise money.
On separate occasions I participated in a fashion show to raise money by selling tickets and taking part in the actual show.

Jack and Jill Foundation

The Jack and Jill Foundation has been close to my heart since my father introduced me to its founder Jonathan Irwin. I also went to the egg and pig sculpture auctions where my family bought one from each event and it inspired me to get involved in charity work.
I have done multiple charity events for Jack and Jill, one being the 'Jack and Jill up the Hill', in Donade forest. I also participated in the 'Incognito Exhibition' where I submitted a picture I had drawn.
Myself and another classmate approached Jack and Jill to do a project which enabled them to learn more about the cross-cultural differences within the families they already help.

Dogs Angels
Adopted Alfie - April 2018

While this is less like charity work and more like goodwill, my family adopted a beautiful German Shepherd named Alfie. He has a wonderful personality but a horrible disease which is extrahepatic multiple shunts which affects his liver growth and breakdown of protein. We rescued and adopted him through the Dogs Angels charity and have never looked back. He is a lot of work and he has to get medication multiple times a day but he has been thriving!
He is now 14 months old and a huge trouble maker!

Adopted - Lexi March 2019

We are currently fostering little Lexi. She is a 4 month old Dutch Shepherd who was surrendered to Dogs Angels.
While our intentions were just to foster Lexi for a little while, she fell in love and adopted us!
